Mets Prevail In 10!

The New York Mets(49-43) defeated the San Francisco Giants(50-42) in ten innings, to take the series finale.
Ike Davis was the hero with a rbi double in the top of the tenth, that proved to be the game winning run. Davis had five hits and five rbi’s in the last two games of the series, he homered twice saturday night, increasing his season total to 14.
Johan Santana pitched brilliantly for the Mets, going 8 innings, and allowing only one run. Francisco Rodriguez came in to the game in the ninth with a two run lead, but blew his fifth save of the season. The Mets though prevailed and avoided the four game sweep in San Francisco.
