For Giants fans, this week was almost a miracle, for the Jets, it was an embarrassing collapse. The Giants went into Philadelphia where the Eagles were preparing for a easy victory and shocked the entire city by winning 29-16 against supposedly the best team in football. The Jets traveled to Oakland where after getting out to a 17-7 lead in the first half, gave up 27 unanswered points and lost 34-24.
The Giants offense looked unstoppable, even without receiver Mario Manningham. The Jets looked hopeless without center Nick Mangold. The Giants made Michael Vick look human. The Jets made Darren McFaddon and Jason Campbell look like hall-of-famers.
Both the Giants and the Jets come out of week 3 with a 2-1 record, but in very different situations. The Jets take one of the league’s worst rushing offenses into Baltimore to face one of the league’s best defenses, while the Giants will face a weak Arizona defense in a game they should win.
