If momentum is quantifiable, then besides the 3-0 Buffalo Bills, no team in the NFL has more momentum than the Giants going into week 4.
Eli Manning had his best game in over a year last week as he threw for 254 yards and four touchdowns against what most considered as the leagues best pass defense. Even without second-string receiver Mario Manningham, Manning picked apart the Eagles defense with ease. Now, with Manningham returning, and defensive end Osi Umenyiora likely making his season debut, Manning and the Giants have all of the tools necessary to continue winning.
Defensive ends Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Tuck have combined for six sacks in three games so far, and adding Umenyiora will allow head coach Tom Coughlin to rotate between his three star defensive ends, as Tuck and Pierre-Paul have gotten tired while playing nearly every snap. The three players should combine to make it a tough game for Cardinals’ quarterback Kevin Kolb. If Manning can continue his hot streak, then the Giants should not have a problem winning and advancing to 3-1.
Projected Score: Giants 30, Cardinals 10
